Biomechanical gait analysis

A full study of your movement and posture to understand why it hurts and find the right solution.

Before we make anything, we need to understand the problem. Biomechanical analysis is our starting point: a study of movement that reveals why pain appears and what your body actually needs. We carry it out at our orthopaedic centre in Xirivella, taking our time and never rushing.

Who it’s for

It’s useful for anyone with discomfort related to walking or posture: pain in the feet, heels, knees, hips or lower back, fatigue when walking, shoes that wear unevenly, or recurring sports injuries. It also helps athletes who want to prevent problems, people who spend long hours on their feet, and children and older adults whose way of walking is worth assessing.

How we do it

We begin with a conversation: your history, your symptoms and your goals. Then we observe how you move, analyse your stride and posture and, with 3D scanning, capture your foot and your weight-bearing in millimetric detail. We study how you distribute your weight, how your foot lands with each step, and how the movement chains from the ground up to your back. With all of that we explain what we found, in plain language, and propose a plan: sometimes custom insoles, sometimes an orthosis, sometimes referral to the right professional.

Benefits

  • A precise diagnosis before investing in any product.
  • A clear explanation of what’s happening and why.
  • An objective basis for insoles or orthoses that truly work.
  • Prevention of overload injuries.
  • Coordination with your doctor, physiotherapist or podiatrist when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does the study hurt or is it invasive? Not at all. It’s a non-invasive analysis: you walk, we observe and we scan your foot. There’s nothing uncomfortable about the process.

Do I have to buy something afterwards? No. The analysis is there to find out what you need; if the solution is an insole or an orthosis we’ll suggest it, but the decision is always yours and with no obligation.

Is it suitable for children? Yes. Assessing a child’s way of walking early helps correct things in time and avoid problems in adulthood.
